Today we've chosen the internal doors - we're going for original ledged and braced, as opposed to framed ledged and braced which seem like imposters, not the real thing at all. We had a look at some door furniture but they weren't what we're looking for, so we await more samples. The scaffolding should've come down on Friday, then, failing Friday, today, but apparently the dismantling gang didn't turn in this morning so I'm not sure how long we'll be stuck with it. A Shirl will have a much better view when it's gone!
The decorator's due to come for a recce tomorrow but we don't have to choose colours just yet, just where we want tiles and where we want paint! We also had a kitchen 'walk-through' with Steve this morning and have finally decided on the layout - if it'll fit post-plastering! We had designs drawn up several weeks ago, CAD-designs no less, which we soon realised wouldn't fit so the kitchen company needs to come back, but not until we've plastered so they can work on exact sizes.
Needless to say, most of A Shirl's is now plastered upstairs, whilst we have no plastering at all but we do have more insulation fitted throughout.

And on the domestic front I've been trying to get to grips with EBay as we have various items to dispose of pre-move; it's not the listing or photography that's too difficult (well not for a complete brainer, anyway, although for a part-brainer it was quite tricky), but trying to work out postage types and costs. It has taken the best part of today to list ten items which will probably nett us about £10 if potential customers aren't put off by the extortionate P&P costs, augmented by insurance as you can't rely on parcels actually reaching their destination any more. Fiona's been really busy with work. She was hard at it here in the office until gone 7.30 tonight and has then driven down to HQ. Dad and Hannah had a bit of a Delia afternoon, trying to uphold Mum's baking legacy. And with excellent results......She'd have been very proud.

I get in trouble if I haven't looked each day, how you're going on.
I remember being called out to see one of your mum's cakes, on the passenger seat beside her. My mum says it was Thomas the Tank Engine; I just remember green icing.
My mum says she hopes you, Fiona and Shirl have many years of happiness at the barn.
