Bricklayers' Arms

If you want to be a bricklayer be warned, your arms will grow - very long. I learnt today, from George the Brickie that, hodly enough (his words), brickies don't use hods any more, bricks are moved by muscle power alone. Witty, these builders. This barn is, in the grand scheme of things, quite a small project yet there's a lot of brick movement so just imagine how many bricks have to be moved around on bigger sites. Don't think I'll become a brickie.

Fiona's still away, down in Wycombe now, working from the office. I'm still not allowed to be alone; A Shirl came over again, then Penny came home early from coronering in Crewe so I was taken out to look at
kitchen tiles for the bungalow on Anglesey. Mum left it to Penny and she's been doing up over Winter. It really freaked me out, seeing how much tile choice there is and knowing that I'll have to be picking them soon - for 2 kitchens and 5 bathrooms........the pressure! Anyway, we're going over to Anglesey tomorrow to deliver the tiles to Terry the builder and to have a look at the work. It'll be the first time I've been there in over two years so I'm looking forward to it, and we're also going to see My Timmy's new-ish boatyard in Caernarfon. Tim's my little brother who's brill and builds boats.

Also bathed Benji today, he's white again!

Well I never - a pic of me on a running wheel! Where did you get that from? I had a strick no camera policy in my cage last week. Brilliant pic, fairly accurate too sadly, but much better now thank God. Feel very honoured having a mention and a pic no less on the blog spot!! Have a fab time by the seaside with your tiles! See you soon, Hamster Head xxx
