Kitchen confusion but Scott got the job

Still Tuesday, still kitchenless and we haven't started on bathrooms yet.....

Scott got the job at The Grange - hurrah, well done and good luck to Hannah tomorrow for Leftwich High. Mr Moben did us three prices (2 for us, 1 for Aunty Shirl) but still all quite high. Funny, these adverts, get your kitchens for under £1000.....hah, they mean under £1 million. Worried that our rural retreat is on the retreat.

Fiona's been poorly all day. She started with a fluey-virus at the weekend and it's finally laid her low, hence me having to see Mr Moben on my own. No problem if I can just concentrate on the job in hand at face value, ie buying a kitchen. What I can't do is think around the issue, ask searching questions, query costs and understand why their kitchens are cheaper outside sale time than in their sales.

Originally we were going to make our part of the barn habitable and leave the second dwelling at 'first fit' stage. Aunty Shirl is now going to come and live in the other part of the barn so we got costs for that to be finished. And much higher than expected they were so, today, I've rung a couple of other companies to get them to quote for finishing it off. No searching questions asked so could cope with them but hopefully Dad will speak to them when they call back. Getting a bit tired of explaining my stupidity due to the sub-arach. Memory still exceedingly bad - from what I can remember.
