There are so many things that we take for granted in our homes, knobs and knockers being just a couple. We picked our door handles months ago and then realised belatedly that we wanted knobs on the outside doors. Which led us on to knockers. We found what we thought was the perfect one on e-bay, a Cheshire cat c. 1900-1910 in brass. Bidding got to silly pounds so we dropped out - probably wisely as we decided the cat looked a bit evil and we didn't want its gremlin-like paws pounding on our door. And now we've remembered locks for the bathrooms. It's never ending......
Many many thanks to everyone who sent support and happy thoughts following my outpourings of frustration yesterday. Now maybe I was a bit over the top but to reiterate for the neuro-sceptics - just 'cos it ain't plastered don't mean it ain't broke. And that's the last I'm going to say on the matter.
More garden therapy with nurture and nature combined. We created a pea-bower for the peas to grow up (I'm not sure of which I'm most proud, the pea bower or the photo of the pea bower!). The broccolflower are now out in the great outdoors and the broad beans have managed to claw their way back from Australia, to where it seems I had sent them by planting them too deep.

What could make a perfect end to a perfect week? Oh yes, British Gas should be here in 5-6 weeks.
