I've missed this blog but have been following doctors' orders so have been unable to update. Both the GP and Dr Embryo ordered us on a break following last year's 'adventures' so, as soon as Dr Embryo said chocks away we took off for Gibraltar.
Now I wanted to fly like I wanted a hole in the head. Oh, yes, I've got one of those so, no excuse, flying had to be done. Whilst uncomfortable and strange, it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, although there were some very interesting lumps and bumps around the bore hole where there are normally only undulations. They've gone down now, thankfully, and the bruised feeling has disappeared. We had a very pleasant weekend, thanks to JoGa and JoBo with beautiful weather and a maiden trip to mainland Spain. We also saw, for the first time, a Broccolflower. I can imagine how Raleigh felt when he found a potato! We bought some seeds and are going to try and grow some here on t'farm.
We got home to find the barn nearly finished. Ok, so that's a slight exaggeration but there've been some pretty amazing developments. The roof's on, tiles ready to be fixed, rooms framed out and plans well underway for gas and electricity supplies. The windows are being made to measure, in hardwood, as are the external doors. Well, you might know, they're not a standard size and none of them have the same dimensions! These two pictures show the main bedroom of Boosh Two (mine and Fif's end). Fiona's pictured at one end of the room and I'm pictured at the other - it's MAHUSIVE!
The cats were very pleased to have us home - so pleased they bought us in not one but two presents - two little fluffy bunnies. Didn't take long to catch them for, just like the Norwegian Blue Parrot, they were dead. It's little early for Easter, furballs......
