This is the cooker we've decided to buy. Dad has an aga - it was my mum's pride and joy - and I love cooking on it but it makes the kitchen so, so hot. We've gone for the next best thing, a dual fuel Rangemaster....well if you've got to do domestics you may as well do it with style.
We've also been on the tile trail, spending the afternoon selecting tiles for the kitchen floor, downstairs loo, nowhere (that's another story.....), and for the kitchen walls and two bathroom walls. A Shirl came too and picked tiles with style. Babeski was on the panel for the final choice. On the left we have a terracotta floor tile for kitchen and nowhere, with the kitchen wall tile at its base. We're in a bit of a quandary though - terracotta tiles or slate? Don't know what to do...... Situated on the extreme left, in blue and white, is the sample for our en-suite. Very classy we thought. The larger white brick-shaped tile is for the main bathroom. To the right of the photo is A Shirl's kitchen floor and hall tile, to be accompanied by petite white glazed wall tiles. Her bathroom tiles are extremely doody, plain white with cute little dots in relief.

Just the fridge freezer to pick now. Definite USA big b_ _ _ _ er with drinks dispenser for Fif and Tom, but which one? Which one matches best? Too much choice for little brain which has been as scrambled as dad's supper eggs for the last couple of days. Don't know why - new moon?
Various carpet sellers have been round to measure up; we then have to visit their gaffes to look over samples so that's even more decisions. I need a cruise. Think I'll go on one next week.....
Looking forward to the weekend. We're going out to a gig in Manchester with Hannah and Scott and our new friends Sharon and Del. We like them. They're nice people. And they don't wear orange.

Hello Tile Troopers - the terracotta definately. Faye x
Hope the gig was good - and who are these new friends? Would I like them? Like the cooker by the way - very barnesque x
A S. recommended settee at AW, so we popped across from our weekly shopping trip. Brenda tried it. Also barn-sized. Can't say the colour grabbed me. Just an old-fashioned Limey.
