Annie, Irene and Rosie came over to check on progress of both barn and brain today. It was great to see them and, of course, that most hard of workers (his words) Matthew couldn't resist getting in on the act!! Rosie knows dad and A Shirl of old, having worked at the garden centre and in the florist shop. She didn't believe us when we told her she'd recognise probably just about everything moved from the brick barn to the metal barn (which had, in turn, been moved from the garden centre....). Oh she of little faith!!!!
Got a picture of the RECLAIMED (thanks Jo) beam but couldn't get any of its inhabitants to pose (although Steve assures me they've all left home - good job we trust him).
Dad's surgical procedure went fine this afternoon. He had to continue starving until post-appointment when we cooked him a fine steak and home-made chips, as requested. I made him another jelly-with-icebergs this morning; he was King of the World.......
The Deli-mog hasn't, today, eaten any cables. He did manage to devour a paperback (I've read it) and to wake me up a little less than gently, and very early, by putting both paws on my head, my hair in his mouth and working both in opposite directions. Ah, bless.......
