Peonies, Power and Presents.....

Exciting day today, all going on down at the farm. Dad had a v early hospital appointment but wanted some peony roots saving before Digger Dave got to work. I got up and dressed ready to see Digger Dave with my instruction-laden post-it but it wasn't needed. He was starting at the top end and not in the peony region. Steve the foreman knocked on the door. An electricity cable had been brought down by guttering, had taken out some bricks and it wasn't earthed - didn't know what he meant but went along with the urgency and rang the electricity emergency number. They asked loads of questions which are nigh on impossible for a sub-arach to answer. Undoubtedly Electricity Lady was cursing her luck for picking up my call. However, two emergency sparkies turned up at the speed of light and shimmied up and down ladders for a couple of hours.
The mini digger and dumper had grown into giant digger and dumper over the weekend. Lots of traffic today and giant dumper got bogged down in a pile of stones whilst making space for the sparky van. It was just like an episode of Bob The Builder as giant digger went to the rescue of giant dumper (see montage above).
The brain needed much rest after such excitement so I wrapped a few presents then slept solidly for a couple of hours. Woke up as Dad took Benji to the vets and Fifi went to the doctors - or was it the other way around.....?
